I think you're missing the main point, so for you I will repeat it slowly,

The Council don't want envelopes with windows to be recycled, they do want us to recycle as much as possible, so, why doesn't the Council which produces the biggest pile of envelopes that come into most houses lead by example and stop using envelopes with little windows?

I know it doesn't take long to tear the window out, but as small as they are, these little windows do add to what goes to landfill.

Perhaps I should have put this in anything goes? Except for the fact that everything doesn't go, we still have the windows.

Give the offending envelopes to dog owners.

To put their pooch's plop-plops in.

They can then safely be deposited in the council's dog waste bins.

Then they can deal with them.
