Re: London Underground explosions
Is it known if it is a power surge or an attack?

Horror
I was late leaving home this morning, so looked for a cab. None free, of course. I wondered why lots of people were walking, rang the office, and was told that the tube had gone down. So, walked to the bus stop and waited. At about 9:45 there was an enormous bang. We all looked at one another and said "That was a bomb". The bus came up, we got on, and sat there because the Inspector was unsure about letting it go, as he was getting various messages on his radio. After about 15 minutes or so, a British Transport policeman came running round the corner, shouting "Get off the bus, quick". As you can imagine, we did, quick. I said to him "Where should we go?" His answer was "I don't know, nowhere is safe." So, I came home. As I walked up Woburn Place I could see a bus with its roof blown off, debris and appalling damage. It is literally just around the corner. Two hours on, the emergency services are still dealing with casualties. 20 fatalities have been confirmed so far from the various incidents. I am just about to offer coffee to the poor souls who are having to deal with the carnage. My son is safe, he walked to the office from Kings Cross, thankfully before the reported bomb there went off.
I am very shaky, but thankfully okay.

Re: London Underground explosions
this is awful, my thoughts go out to all down in London. Just come on radio 22 now confirmed dead but I hate to think about all those who were in the middle of blast as they will not be accounted for, it's just too awful to contemplate the distruction

Re: London Underground explosions
Thanks for your post Pendy. Just watching it here on TV feeling so helpless. You were so lucky. I just keep saying thank goodness everyone i know is OK but there are still all those poor people injured and those whio have lost loved ones. I cannot put into words my feelings about this.

Re: London Underground explosions
I'm at work relying on updates on the radio and internet, I know what you mean about feeling helpless willow. I am also glad to hear fellow members from london are ok then instantly feel guilty for that relief when there are so many others injured, killed or unaccounted for.

Thank God Olly, and thank God other two members are safe as well.
There's nothing else to say.
Yesterday national joy, today this awful, tragic news.
