Re: Loo Rolls
once told my 8 yr old Grandson that he shouldn't waste toilet paper, and that two pieces were enough for anyone , one to wipe and one to polish .......the look on his face was priceless , but the Daughter-in-law was not much amused .

LOL ... my daughter always thought that the more she did, the more toilet paper she should use !! Took me a long time to convince her otherwise.

Re: Loo Rolls
I think that we should go back to the golden days of newspaper in the flush. I do believe that the almost universal decline in values and morality is directly linked the introduction of soft, even scented toilet tissue of various colors. If defecation is made more pleasant, people will spend too much time in the toilet, daydreaming about winning the lottery. And don't forget, the main reason that the French are inferior to the British is the bidet.

Re: Loo Rolls
At uni they're hung sideways, so its at a 90 degree angle to the wall. How radical.

Re: Loo Rolls
Well I have had to go up and check but hang mine away from the wall.
Another tip about toilet roll for the ladies.....
If you are more prone to thrush, only buy white loo roll as the dyes used in coloured can be an irritant....!

Gosh, I'm bursting to reply with a pun on this one .. but daren't, besides he's such a sweet lad ..
That is radical Cyfr, and think you would have to be careful how you bend over it near you ... ouch.! Wonder if there is a reason .. ask the caretaker .. may come up with some sort of reason. Maybe, they just bought them cheap 'on block' ..

Who is hung sideways? And who would take the trouble to measure the angle?

Re: Loo Rolls
When I was a child the only loo paper you could get was Izal. It was stiff, scratchy and shiney and you could use it as tracing paper, horrible stuff. The Civil Service was still using it up to 1980 and every sheet had Government Property stamped on it - as if you'd want to take it home, you'd have to be desperate.
