Lost Cat in Rishton - Tortoiseshell called Bonny
Does anyone know the owner of a lost Tortoiseshell cat called Bonny, maybe around Henry Street area of Rishton...but certainly somewhere in Rishton? Will have been missing for around 3 weeks and will be about 14 years old!
I've just had a phone call from a lady in Rishton who said she had found my cat...only its not mine, it was my Mum and Dads many years ago, but they gave the cat to someone from Rishton in 2000, when they were too ill to look after her any longer, they have both since pased away. The Cat had been chipped, and still has the same details registered at the vet...which is how this lady managed to ring me thinking they had located the owner. I dont have the name or number of the lady who the cat now belongs to, other than she lived in Rishton, and will have had the cat for 8 years...she had 2 young children when she took her, but they will obviously be a good bit older now!
Was quite a bolt out of the blue when i answered the call, and i know its a long shot, but maybe someone knows of someone who's just lost a cat of this description in Rishton! Please post or pm me, if you think you can help!
Best Regards - Taggy

I'll keep an ear cocked for you. I'm off to the People's Centre in an hour so I'll ask around.

Cheers Ken, much appreciated. She's not a young Cat, i would guess she's about 14/15 years old now!

Re: Lost Cat in Rishton - Tortoiseshell called Bonny
Well we have found the Cat....but not the Owner!!
I have since spoken with the owner of the Cattery my parents used to place her in when they went away. She helped re home Bonny when my parents couldn't look after her anymore. But as this was ten years ago in 2000, it is going to be a long shot if she can find any records, which will indicate the name/address of who took her in. Plus....sods law...she was going away for a few days as from today...but is going to try to check through the Cattery's records when she is back next Monday....so i'm keeping my fingers crossed something comes up!
Best Regards - Taggy

Re: Lost Cat in Rishton - Tortoiseshell called Bonny
It looks like we've got a happy outcome to this.
We've still not been able to locate Bonny's owner, but another lady who was looking for her own cat, who was also lost, has agreed to take her in, and will keep her if the owner isn't located, so at least she's off the streets and somewhere warm!
Best Regards - Taggy

That's good news, no animal should be left to fend for themselves on the streets, particularly at that age. Glad she's found somewhere she'll be cared for
