Cheers wayneyboy. Job done, I would suggest that it is now likely that our names will appear on a government watch list for having the audacity to agree to such a nationalistic adventure....
Thanks also to Blackburn Raver .

Re: Make St'George's Day a Bank holiday!
But it would be a holiday for everyone so how can anyone complain about that?

I can!
I am self-employed, and don't get paid if I don't work.

Re: Make St'George's Day a Bank holiday!
I agree - lets get rid of this May Day rubbish and replace it with it with St Georges Day; What this nonsense holiday is doing in the English calender, I really do not know. Neverthelless, I'm pretty liberal and I believe that If the commies and the rest of the europhile trash wish to take a day off, then let 'em; without pay, of course.
While we're at it, lets introduce a couple more holidays. Between the end of May and the end of August there is no formal holiday so I suggest we have one in June to celebrate the Queens official birthday or alternatively take a monday off nearest to 18th June, namely Battle of Waterloo day. That will be a nice remiinder for any French slimeball who happens to be in the country on those dates.
Similarily, there is nowt between August bank holiday and Christmas so I suggest we have a holiday on the monday nearest to 21st October - Trafalgar Day - once again, just to remind that lot over the channel who won.

I was being sarcastic Willow and I'm sure that many would ……………Tealeaf, I’m with you all the way, but can I ask what happened to the old Waterloo day and Trafalgar Day. Does anyone know when we last had a Royal Oak Day, if we ever had such a thing?

Too late to sign.......
Thank you, to everyone who has signed the petition, for your invaluable support during our St George's Day campaign.
The petition has now been delivered to No 10 Downing Street by our patriotic Deputy Chairman, Tom Wells:

Re: Make St'George's Day a Bank holiday!
Less - I'm self employed.
That means that I do not have a boss.
Holidays are more of an inconvenience at the moment, while I am still building my business

thats a great idea do away with a day that was obtained for us by the trade unions, and replace it -i don't think so,why do away have both.
