Making hay while the sun shines

Speaking of charities and where their money goes, as we were in another thread, I came across this article in The Times this morning...

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article...843465,00.html

It seems that for Mrs Blair, charity begins at home!

Re: Making hay while the sun shines

I am astounded they raised £6,774 yet First Lady Blair made more for opening her mouth. Maybe she should be called Mrs Cherie Gimme Gimme Gimme Loads Of Money Blair. If people do these speaches lectures etc then they should be charitable and forgo any fee thatway the cause benifits even more. This could also help the reputation of a few money grabing individuals. Maybe she thinks she is a superstar and should be paid accordingly, but alas she is just a cash vampire.

Re: Making hay while the sun shines

Not good is it. Not the example one would expect of a Conservative pm’s wife let alone a Labour one. Oh dear, did I forget that this is the new “Conservative” caring for one’s self first “New Labour” party with little regard for the population as a whole let alone the lowly working man.

In parallel, Mediums working the Spiritualist Church circuit providing evidence of continuous life after this one only get Five pounds personal allowance and petrol money if they travel over a certain distance, many of them will drive across the length of the country to share their gift with others or to provide healing services to those who are sick or on there way out of this life.

I know the last post had bu**er all to do with it, but things seem a bit slow so I thought I’d just slip in a bit of contrast…

A silly woman, but compared to the gaffes the Thatcher family got up to while her nibs was in office this is small fry.

Considering that Mrs, Blaire QC is an educated woman and married to the Prime Minister she does seem to be rather lacking in common sense. She seems to walk from one blunder to another with that sickly smile on her face. She ought to know better than lay herself open to critisism.

Since when does a good education mean that those who have it are swimming in abundent amounts of commen sense? All she has is plenty of selfishness and greed.
