I'm sure the word is going out in the news rooms of the leading national papers right now to hold the presses as the whole British political establishment waits with baited breath.

Re: manifesto
-Legalise prostitution.
-Flat rate of income tax @25% for all.
-Leave the E.E.C.
-Abolish the Royal Family, though her Majesty the Queen would be eligible to stand in the elections to vote for a head of State.
-Make the benefit system unattractive as a career choice.
-Scrap tuition fees and loans for students, and reintroduce the grant system.
-Tax cars more and put the money into improving the public transport system.
-Tighten immigration rules, especially for illegal immigrants.
-Scrap the television licence fee.
-Outlaw sportswear and training shoes, for those not actually playing sport.

Umm... not sure about this manifesto.. "make the benefit system an unattractive career choice" and "scrap tuition fees for students" could be tied in together.... why should a 16yr old slog his/her guts out at McDonalds to have their taxes pay for some lazy Herbert gaining a degree, hike around the world in their "gap year" then walk into a £30k a year job?

What a stupid remark Mancie .. most students have jobs whilst taking their degrees. My son worked at McDonalds whilst doing his A-levels, Blockbuster whilst taking his degree, had a year out whilst searching for job but made manager at a Blockbusters, then part time working for the company he has now a full time career with, whilst taking his Masters.
Not yet earning £ 30k, but not doing bad .. reckon he deserves it. Still has a debt of £13,000 to pay back.

Ok Katex .. but do you expect me to pay his debts??
I'm saying everyone of us pays for education up to a certain age..no problem.. but why should everyone pay for someone already well educated who may decide to gain better qualifications when other kids simply have to leave school and earn a living.

No, do not expect you to pay his debts at all Mancie. Not saying either that I agree with grants or not .. just objected that you indicated that students were all lazy Herberts that's all, when they clearly are not. Most are willing to work whilst studying to gain qualifications... somebody has to do it as well as the kids that have no incline to go further and finish up working in McDonalds from school, and nowt wrong with that either .. I was very impressed with them as an employer.
