Marathon Man!

I posted a thread earlier asking if anyone would be prepared to sponsor my friend Arron Bortoft for the Marathon.

He ran the whole thing in 3 hours 38 minutes - a fantastic time for a guy who spends most of his time at a desk. (I don't know if he needed a pee, though!) I hope to bring a photo or two to the next get- together, so if anyone wants to dig in their pockets, please do!

Re: Marathon Man!

What was he raising money for Pendy? I must have missed your first thread.

I don't think I could do it in that time......even if I took the bus!
Very well done.

Re: Marathon Man!

Arron ran for the Neuroblastoma Society. Neuroblastoma is a particularly nasty form of cancer that affects children.

He is alive and well, but moving a little more slowly than usual! - He also keeps making noises about being a bit thirsty ......

Re: Marathon Man!

We are coming up at the end of the month, and I will bring a copy of his sponsorship form to the Stag. I also hope to bring a photograph of him staggering across the finish line. If anyone wants to donate otherwise than in person, I'm not sure how we can do it, but pm me and I will try to collect! We are coming up on the 29th and going back on the Monday evening (sadly, this time without Mez).
