Re: Margaret Pilkington.
Taddy, why on earth would you think that you were in trouble?
You asked a question and both of us gave you an answer.
The answer from both of us contains not a hint of judgement. It just gives you advice to look at what went on when Accyweb was vibrant…addictive almost.
It was addictive because of the content of the posts…and it was diverse.
There were many very heated discussions, but that was part of the attraction.
I would like to think that I was a moderate poster who accepted and respected the opinions of others…but am happy to be told if that was not true..

Thanks for that Marge but I hope that you have known me long enough to realize that I do have a "male" sense of Humour, this maybe because a baby boy's giggle switch is activated at Birth but a baby girl's Giggle switch if not activated by the time they leave School never seems to work. Oh please allow the modern "WOKE" brigade to see and answer to this.

Re: Margaret Pilkington.
I too would like to know why you consider yourself in trouble with us. As Margaret has said, you asked a question and we answered it, with a few memories thrown in of what this site used to be like. You wanted to know what subjects could be discussed and you were referred to past threads to give you ideas. How you misinterpreted this to even suggest you are in trouble is beyond me. Maybe it’s just that you like to come across as being a bit misunderstood, or maybe you really would like to be in trouble with us... sorry to be a spoilsport about that.

Re: Margaret Pilkington.
Now Taddy, I know you have probably written this tongue-in-cheek to get someone like me to rise to the bait and so here I am, because of course what you wrote is utter nonsense about the male and female sense of humour. You could have started a new thread about this and caused some debate.
To suggest that boys are born with an active ‘giggle switch’ is laughable as is your suggestion re females possibly never seeing the funny side of things. An absolute load of codswallop. If this is what you really think then you must have a very small circle of friends and acquaintances made up of giggling men and miserable women. You poor thing.
By the way, talking about females and their possible lack of humour maybe you should check the joke section on this site, seems to me that most of the funnies for a while now have come from a female. Just saying.

Re: Margaret Pilkington.
Taddy..it has nothing at all to do with our sense of humour…or the giggle switch as you put it.
When you ask a question and an answer is given, then that is that.
Why should asking a question put you in trouble…and if it did put you in trouble, surely you are old enough not to care ( I know that I am…and we are the same age. I have given up caring what other people think of me because it is none of my business).
I do not follow your comment on the woke brigade either.
I am happy to discuss any topic on here(woke or otherwise) other than football and only because football is a mystery to me.
I could learn about it I suppose, but I have other much more interesting things to do with the bum end of my life.

Oh, I love it, please keep up the double act with Margaret, as you say most, if not all of my comments on this gender thing are tongue in cheek and I do not refer to females as "Sheilas", as they do down under, (just saying).
I have a very (large) circle of friends and acquintaintances as it happens, just mention the name Taddy in Huncoat village and someone will know someone who knows me. By the way I am not a wealthy man but neither am I a poor thing as you state, (just saying) Please keep up the jokes, As I love the Aussie humour from male or female.
PLEASE ACCEPT THIS IN THE SPIRIT THAT IT IS INTENDED, I NEVER GO OUT OF MY WAY TO OFFEND ANYONE, MALE OR FEMALE.

Re: Margaret Pilkington.
My Last post will probably be the (last) where I try to inject a little humour into my posts, maybe this will end the posts where I am referred to as talking an absolute load of codswallop and all my friends are made up of giggling men and miserable women,(just saying)..

Re: Margaret Pilkington.
Taddy, I'm not sure why you mentioned the word ‘Sheila’s’ when commenting about my post. Why bring Australia into our conversation. I’m also a bit disappointed that you imply my humour as simply being Australian, I thought it was universal to say the least, and in actual fact my sense of humour originates from my Lancashire upbringing.
I’m not actually following you though as you either love our ‘exchanges’ as you stated, or you have taken offence where no offence was intended. I was just telling it as I saw it. Sorry for any upset I may have caused.

No need to be sorry for anything Dotti, after working out doors for most of my working life I have a skin as thick as a Rhinoceros, "some" of my mates reckon that I have a brain to match it.
