Re: Market Hall Refurbishment
Just been for a quick wander through.
Looks like most of the traders are open. The outside market is about half full.
I didn't get trampled on in the rush while going through the market hall though

Market Hall Refurbishment - did YOU go into town today
Went in the Market this morning at 9.15 ish. Must admit, was nice to be able to buy fresh meat from the butchers on a Wednesday. We just dont have any butchers shops anymore in the town. Also went to Smiths (bacon and sausage and cooked meats) and called at Len's, so at least they got a bit of business out of me.
Was back in town later and watched the chef for a while. Are any Accywebbers on the photos, I wonder?

Re: Market Hall Refurbishment
I heard part of an interview with the chef chap and Ted Robbins of Radio Lancashire when I nipped out for some petrol this morning. Was Ted actually there or was it via a radio link?
I prefer Ted to the chef chap any day.

Re: Market Hall Refurbishment
Well I never saw Ted when I was there, but I believe there were two more "sittings" later on in the day.
Ted is lovely, I went to his wedding.

That’s right Dave, Sean Wilson/Martin Platt “ passionate cheesemaker” according to the flier. Also on the bill is “ Hollywood Movie Star” Kenny Baker ?
The particular flier I’m looking at is from a batch that was withdrawn partway through the day due to an error “ Now 6 day trading Monday to Friday”
Some suit was heard to say “How did we miss that…it’ll be ok, only a few hundred quid to put right”

Re: Market Hall Refurbishment
Just Googled who that Kenny Baker is...tis the midget who was/played/operated R2D2 in Starwars. Hope he don't come in his outfit else that flagged floor will have him on his arse most of the day
