Re: Market Hall Refurbishment

Keep it up, Ken. I am also pleased to see the paper in the heart of Accrington, but they would be so much more readable of they challenged, rather than just promotted the leaders view.

I wonder if they got a special deal from PB, along the lines of 'You keep me sweet & I'll keep you sweet'.

Yes, it is in Oswaldstwistle, but I wish people would understand that it is for the benefit of all the residents of Hyndburn. It is the nearest we have to a theatre in our area, just geography. I would love to see a brand new theatre nearer to the centre, but that would cost millions.

It is Jen, the man with the furniture stall in there told me their rents are ridiculously cheap at the moment, thats why he can afford two stalls, it's just another one of Festers 'vote for me' tactics, the man on the stall was expecting them to go up at the end of May

Re: Market Hall Refurbishment

Just to update this thread, according to Cllr Howarth the investment made has now fallen down because two thirds of the traders want to close on Wednesday. Shame it's taken so long for somebody to actually listen to them

Councillor Howorth says she is devastated....but only because at long last she has been proved wrong.......that must be a very bitter pill to swallow.
