PLANETOPHYSICAL STATE OF THE EARTH AND LIFE
Humanity has survived similar before, so there is no reason to be fearful.
Just hang on, expect the unexpected, and be ready for the roller coaster ride.
This is an exciting time to be alive
I'm not so much fearful for myself Margaret. It's more the generations to come. In my view this generation has a duty of care when comes to the planet.

When the Earth changes are beyond control, it is best that the young generation is
'inventive, adaptive and resourceful'.

Our education policies appear to foster conformity - an ideal better suited to the hive mentality

Agree with you on this .... by the way, this is the philosophical and spiritual viewpoint held by our First Nations. It's a different viewpoint from the "rape and pillage of the Earth" policy that the western Christian cultures have followed since the late fifteenth century, perhaps earlier.

Is it not appalling that none of them consider holding so many conferences with so many flights to and fro is adding to this if what they claim is right?

That's politicians for you ... anything for a free holiday at taxpayers' expense. If they want to know if global warming is for real or not, they could ask the Inuit.

Delegates ferried around the city in a fleet of 1,200 limousines (many driven hundreds of miles from Germany and Sweden to meet demand)...150 private jets to bring delegates to and from the conference...a carbon footprint of over 40,000 tons.

A bunch of total hypocrites - the lot of 'em.
