Mills and Boon.

The fairy tale ends. After four years the offical separation of Heather Mills and Paul McCartney has been announced.

Will his children, who weren't all that keen on Ms. Mills marrying their father in the first place, be saying 'I told you so', and telling him he was a fool for not getting Ms. Mills to sign a pre-nup contract?

It's rumoured that she is after a divorce settlement of around £200 million pounds, which should see her singing 'Love Me Do' all the way to the bank.

Has anyone here ever drawn up a pre-nuptuial arrangement prior to their wedding, or is it the ultimate sign of being unromantic?

I feel sorry for Paul, because he and Linda seemed to be so happy and then to be so sadly parted by the hand of fate. I couldn't believe it when I heard he intended to marry again, I remember thinking that I hope he will be as happy with his new wife as he was with Linda, I'm sorry it has turned out for the worst.

Re: Mills and Boon.

The omens were never good. According to her unauthorised biography she used to leave her first husband to fly to Saudia Arabia to 'entertain' Arabs.

I read an interview recently saying that being married to the most famous man in the world was a pain in the arse. I'd argue that he probably isn't the most famous man in the world, and that she knew he was a high profile personality when she married him.

I bet he's kicking himself, and is hoping she doesn't take him for an arm and a leg if you'll excuse the pun.

Apparently Sir Paul has made a statement to the effect that she didn't marry him for his money. Er, you said it first, Paul - never, ever pre-empt the question.

Don't think pre-nups are valid in the UK. If they'd have been married in California it would have been binding.

A good sleazeball lawyer can get any pre-nup cancelled, the divorce law here in California states that what you bring into a marriage stays yours and only assets gained during the marriage are split down the middle. Each State has different rules.
useful tip The law may have changed, ,but it used to be the law that if a Brit got married overseas to a foreigner the marriage was invalid in the UK unless it was registered within 30 days at the local British embassy/ consulate in the country where the marriage took place, saved quite a few of my mates who didn't want to bring the local exotic beauty home to meet Mum .

He must have a bit of a sense of humour after choosing the youthful black he dyed his hair after marrying her.

I feel so sorry of Paul, when you are married and your wife dies, a wife you so obviously loved, it takes a lot of guts to get married again even if you have mega bucks, but if it doesn't work out then its best to call it a day. Its no use carrying on just to look good for the media, I'm sure paul and Heather will make sure that their youngster will not suffer, well lets hope so.

Re: Mills and Boon.

I have a friend who is getting married in July, her parents both died years ago and left her the house she has drew something up with her solicitor for him to sign to say he will never own the house etc... I suppose that is all she has left of her parents and just wants to protect her inheritence plus she has children from a previous relationship. But she obviousley thinks he would try and get the house off her hence the solicitor being involved, i know if i was in her situation i would wonder why i was marrying him!! Don't think she trusts him much.
