Quite right, Royboy.
It works both ways.
I really do think that wards should be same sex only but these days it seems you've just got to be glad of a bed, to get out without contracting MRSA and beggar the rest.
My hubby's going into Burnley hospital next week for a knee op, I don't know whether the ward will be same sex or not but I'll just be glad to have him back in one piece.

Maybe not when they start getting free housing and don't have to go to work
Anyway all maternity wards are mixed, all the boys are on the same ward as their mum's

Re: Mixed hospital wards
Any mixed ward would if it had to be used by a certain group would be hit on the head. One rule for one lot another for another lot etc etc etc. Can see the point of it though if say there was a shortage of beds in say male recovery and available in female recovery. It would be better than being stuck in a corridor.

Re: Mixed hospital wards
I tried to attend the birth of both my Daughters but there was a big obstacle in those days, a 16 stone Midwife to be precise

Re: Mixed hospital wards
