There are only Truvelo and Specs cameras that can get anyone driving towards them. Standard Gatsos can't. Plod have been getting a bit clever with Specs in that they have some set up as forward facing and then have one thats rear facing to catch the naughty bikers

(for those who don't know, SPECS cameras work on average speed over a set distance and are normally found on motorways on the gantries with signs on. They have a yellow board behind them, The only truvelos I've ever seen are the one on the way out of manchester as you come up through Cheetham Hill. The other one is over Harrogate way)

Re: Mobile Speed Cameras

Good on the people for warning you.

Speeding mobile units are there to help figures, create revenue, meet targets, very rarely are they in a place that would help, more to catch the motorist out.

Surely nobody can say they dont speed, and never go above 30mph.

I agree with Entwi Inappropriate speed is the danger.

I have also follwed enough police cars, not blue lighting, that travel over 30 mph in a 30 zone.
