It's a good job they all decided to pay their debts with it once the hotelier had paid his to the butcher, otherwise the rich guy would have come back and the hotelier would have to explain where the money went.
This reminded me of a conversation I had with my philosophy personal tutor the other week who complained about people who create unrealistic hypothetical situations in order to explain a point. The real skill is being able to explain how the hypothetical situation is actually a realistic representation of real life. It's not so hard with this one here. Mine involved a paedophile and a cow and himself on a desert island with a shot gun. I managed to apply this to a real life scenario though  just. |
