Re: Morrisons come to Great Harwood
When I first met my wife she was a staunch Tesco shopper because of the lovely 'free' vouchers you get every month or so. She wouldn't be persuaded that you are paying for them all the time as the goods are more expensive than other supermarkets until we took trips to do the weekly shop at both Asda and Morrisons, which slashed the food bill by around £30 a week.
Tesco is a rip-off, save your money people and shop elsewhere.
Morrisons also stock Bacon Grill, a guilty pleasure of mine....

It's a lot like Spam but just that bit more tasty, a damn sight cheaper too.
If you can find a can of this delicious foodstuff then slice it and fry it and have it on a fresh bap with a dollop of tomato ketchup. Naughty but nice!
Mick sounds like he can point you in the right direction although it's probably easier for you to get it in Morrisons in Blackburn.
It's been around for years but is out of fashion so it will be tucked away in a dingy corner somewhere....

Re: Morrisons come to Great Harwood
i can remember my gran making us some sort of tinned stuff and putting it under the grill when we where kids, whatever it was it was awful, i'd never make Reece eat anything like that, don't get me wrong, he does eat some crap but nothing like what my gran used to make us when we where kids

Could have been Prem. God that was low-grade stuff, I don't even think they make it anymore.
Ironically, Bacon Grill (and indeed Spam) are much better lightly fried until crispy.

Re: Morrisons come to Great Harwood
If you've got a Lidl up by you have a look in there, they also do Bacon Grill from a firm called Chira. It does for us as we buy it by the pallet when we visit UK to export across here to Herman land, usually judge it so we've got 1 or 2 cans left just before we're due back again. They also had Murphys Stout in cans last time I looked.

With you all the way on that one, but for my taste buds it's Brown Sauce

Re: Morrisons come to Great Harwood
When Morrisons take over the co-op on August 26th it will be closed until November for re-furbishment. (Or so I've been told)
