Are you referring to the rumour about Hyndburn council suspending repairs, whilst a study is carried out into a possible stock transfer?
Whether this is the case or not, the following should answer your question.

In the Accrington Observer this week, Ken Bury, Director of Hyndburn Homes stated:

"I can assure you that repairs have not been suspended whilst the stock option appraisal is being carried out.

This rumour has no foundation whatsoever, and any action of this sort would be unlawful and a nonsense"

Post Re: moving into council property

Are you living in a council property?

Have you got essential repairs that need doing?

Have you put in a request for these repairs?

Have you had any feedback?

If not, go through the appropriate channels to make a complaint.

I know from my experience of living in a council property that repairs were always done.

Different repairs have different time scales under which they are supposedly done.

Non urgent repairs are done on a rota basis, not sure what the limits are on that now, but presumeably it's in your tenancy agreement somewhere.

If you think the Rules and Regulations are not being applied properly, complain, take action the appropriate way. Make yourself heard.

Nothing ever gets done by people simply leaving things to someone else. We'd never get anywhere that way.

Be pro-active.
