I would say do it, but be prepared. Take about three or four times more cash with you than you think you will need, because it will disappear with frightening rapidity.

like most people i would say do it mani- regret is a terrible thing ! but like a-b says take more than you think is needed, like a few on hear i lived there for a while in late 60s its a very unfriendly place and its good you have contacts down there.

yeah i'm gonna go in a few months time - thankfully i'm almost sorted with contacts for some immediate work too

i was kinda put off by the fact that all the doormen there have stab/bullet proof vests on... gotta invest in one of them too...

but with those guys gettin 15-20 an hr...

£15-£20 per hour?

I wouldn't do a job that required a bullet-proof vest for such a measly amount.

*L* i dont think the sat nav will help me with the knowledge test in an exam room!

and i guess thats where people who are willin to take that risk come into it. sure i'd love to b paid more but its a start -= just support myself and see where i can go once i'm there

I think Mani decided not to go after all as it was over 12 month ago when he posted this.
Must agree though, I only go there when I have to and thats toooooo much even if its once a decade, horrid place if you ask me
