Have just read this on teletext,

and i feel to sick to write anything. Except there should be 30 people out of a job tonight, and that hanging is to good for the animal.

I cannot comprehend how a man can rape his own baby daughter.

Re: Murdered baby 'failed'
The organisations involved have said “lessons have been learned” we’ve heard it before.
They say that there was a lack of communication between those involved. I assume every individual did their best by this child.
What actually causes this lack of communication, is it petty inter- departmental squabbles ? Department officials sticking to the letter of the law ? A general reluctance to get involved, a “let it develop” attitude ? Or some other reason(s) ?

Every time we hear tails such as this they are usually followed by the statement you highlighted Bonnyboy "lessons have been learned", but have they. If this was the case then we would not hear of this type of abuse. Okay, I know that people make mistakes, and the excuss is always the same, "under pressure case workers". To me how anybody can fail to see abuse on this scale is quite beyond me, yet no one ever sacked. In any other job people making cock-ups on this scale wouldbe out on their ear, but not these people, they're fireproof.

Re: Murdered baby 'failed'
i have tried to look at the link but it says it is not available... reading your posts i am assuming that yet another child has been let down by the authorities that are supposed to be protecting them! i cant understand how this happens.. there is legislation (every child matters) in place to stop this but obviously not everyone is following it and obviously not following legislation is illegal so someone is gunna be in a whole lot of trouble... maybe if social services got off their backsides and visited the children that need them instead of going for the easy cases the children wouldnt have to suffer!!
If the legislation was written in gobbldigook then i could kind of understand but i have studied this particular one and its mostly common sense.... Any body who is part of the care of a child, teachers, nursery nurses, doctors, socail workers HAVE to pool their knowledge because there were so many incidents of children being taken into hospital with injuries that were being explained as accidents and the doctors were believing them while social services were trying to build a case against them... the doctors werent informing social services that the child had been injured and social services werent informing the doctors that there was a chance that the child was being abused!!!
Too many children have died because of incompetence!!!!
did you know it is common practice for homeless families to automatically get a social worker? i just got rid of mine...

Re: Murdered baby 'failed'
I also read that there isn't even a photo of that poor baby.
I also ask - where is/was her mother?? No mention of her.
What a shocking thing it all is.

Re: Murdered baby 'failed'
It also stated that, as early as 12 October 2005, "there were grounds for a referral to Children and Young People's Service (CYPC) due to her mother's previous history of mental health problems".
Is all it mentions of the poor child's mother
