I've got an even better plan...I'm postponing it all until July...strawberries will be cheaper then too.

I went to Asda at about 1.30pm this afternoon, and it wasnt half as bad as I expected. Just seemed like a busy Saturday.

I ignored it today and will probably ignore it tomorrow, checked the fridge & freezer other than milk and bread, (which I can get from the corner shop), can deffo' pretend it's a normal week.

Where on Earth does this panic buying come from?

I know what your saying but its not so much panic buying on my part,
we need to do a food shop regardless and with some friends and family coming down we need to get a few extra things and given it is christmas and the shops heaving etc, I cant be arsed with hoardes of people at lunchtime so early doors for me..
if I could get away with bread and milk from the spar then I would happily do so..

I always go Asda at 6-00am Saturday mornings, they are usually just filling shelves, but anything they don't have on display they will get for you. The only saturday I will miss is this Saturday 3rd January partly cause they won't be open till 8am and partly cause I've not been very well, I'm sure I've enough food in to last a week or so.

Re: my masterplan to beat the food shopping queues this christmas..

My plan is the best...... I work every Christmas Day, so I've no need to do the shopping. I did a normal shop the other day which will see us through to New Year.. Totally stress free.
