my masterplan to beat the food shopping queues this christmas..
I have a plan and I only sharing it with you...so shhhh..
its quite simple really and I reckon no-one will have thought of it...honest!
I will beat the queues, the trolley dashes to the last yule log, the screaming bored kids, the stressed out parents and no bumping into folk at the checkouts...sounds almost perfect !!
I am going shopping (asda) at 4am ish, maybe a bit earlier..so by the time most will be getting up out their beds and before they have even begun thinking bout their stressful food shopping day mine will be done, in the cupboards/freezer/fridge...happy days by 8am
now that sounds too good to be true but I am hoping its something like that, I know it may be busy but not as busy as normal trading hours...
remember! dont tell everyone or it will be too busy for me !!

Good luck to you.
It's not as good as my plan though.......I had it all delivered yesterday.

now now theres nothing daft about it, the only daft thing are the folk who wait till 10 am to do it - along with 8,000 others... whilst us 'wise' ones are relaxing knowing its done!

Re: my masterplan to beat the food shopping queues this christmas..
Aint a bad idea, unless you have small children who will be in bed at that time
Ive thought about this but have no choice than to do it between "normal" hours
Luckily Im sorted now, other than things like bread which will do from the corner shop until the madness dies down

Re: my masterplan to beat the food shopping queues this christmas..
LOL GG .. almost did this myself this morning, woke up at 4.30 a.m. sleep would not come over me again .. came down for brew and fag, thought sod it and went back to bed. Didn't go until 2 p.m., but you just have to make your mind up to relax to it ... quite enjoyed it actually. Most shoppers were in good spirits.
They said they had been heaving from 'very early morning', and was told that they were not thinking of doing much re-stocking tomorrow, so some items will not be available, and expected customer disappointment. Don't let this put you off however ... best of luck ...

We did this a couple of year back at 3am, couldn't get down the isles for shelve stackers, still busy as well, plus not as many checkouts open would think about 7ish is a better time when they change shifts
