And chirps again, and hops along,

Till, in neglect, it flies away.

So birds of peace and hope and love

To settle on life's window-sills,
And ease our load of earthly ills;
But we, in traffic's rush and din
Too deep engaged to let them in,
With deadened heart and sense plod on,
Nor know our loss till they are gone.

What a poignant little poem.

I wonder how those poor little birds get into the cavity? What a shame that you can't find it and block it up.

Believe me Willow, I have searched and cannot find anywhere .. will have to call a roofer out methinks to look. Must be a tiny little thing anyway. It's been crying most of the day .. I'm tough, but feel helpless.
