Don't you think though Grego, then that would have worked the other way 'just because she is a celebrity'. Ok, I do think celebrities have a responsibility to behave in a reasonable fashion, but no reason why a harsh sentence should be given because of this. Doubt if you and I would have received a prison sentence .. would never know I suppose.

I think 200 hours is quite a lot to be honest, although doubt whether she will be weeding verges or scrubbing graffiti off walls ... wearing a high viz. jacket ...

Just heard her say not afraid of hard work and will do it with dignity, perhaps will give her those fluffy gloves that those two TV cleaning ladies had ... LOL.

Could be right Cashy, haven't much experience of this .. but feel could work against a celebrity at times, always dependent on the judge I suppose.

During a discussion on high viz. jackets .. lady rang in and her son was on his 3rd burglary and .. only received 18 hours (I think).. sorry, can't be sure this was the figure ... but certainly not as much as 200 hours.

yeh kate know what yer saying, but people are focusing on the wrong issue, the burgaler sentence was NOT severe enough no way. so using things like that to compare is wrong to me.

The thing is that these so called celebraties, never seem to get what they deserve, look Pete Dockerty got 16 weeks inside for drug abuse, after being let off countless time in the past, yet he was out in 4 weeks, I don't know who first said the laws an ass, but they were bang on

Ok, again you are correct, think even Jeremy Vine was quite surprised by this light sentence ... even the lad's mum.

Celebrities aren't treated any differently in prison or on community service, they have to be treated equally otherwise people would complain about it.

I am glad she got 200 hours community service, that is quite a lot, and it is certainly a fair punishment in my opinion...

And I don't need to imagine her in a high viz jacket because there are plenty of pictures of her on the internet doing her last community service.

thought you were studying law?

ya need to get on prison visits or visiting magistrates n see fer yerself, you would soon see how differantly they are treated.

After listening to Sky News's interview with her, this morning. I am appalled by her comments about race.... If BA were racist to her then why not bring that up when she was arrested. She committed air rage, this is a very serious incident and give her 200 bloody hours, i ask you.... bring the birtch back, she needs a good whipping.
This is the problem with 'cleb's' they think they are above the law, and judging by her sentance and fine, they are.
