National memorial arboretum

Went to the arboretum yesterday and i was very impressed
what a fabulous job they have done The National Memorial Arboretum Home
Very well laid out and IMO long overdue .
I found it quite moving but what i found more moving than ever with an eerie chill to it was the empty spaces where yet more names will appear.

got some lovely pics but sadly dont know how to resize for the site .

Saw it on TV when they Queen and Prince Phillip were there, found it very moving. It is a place I would love to visit, in fact it wouldn't be a bad idea to take school children there as a reminder of how many lifes have been lost to give them the freedom they have.

That's near me, it's part of the national forest. There's a visitors centre for the forest called conkers too, so you could take children to both. Conkers The hands on experience in the heart of the National Forest
