Re: New Lancashire Website
Well it doesn't exactly look busy yet - even Hyndburnlite showed more signs of life.

Re: New Lancashire Website
Someone posted a link on Burnleyweb saying that they'd seen it on this new site and giving a link to it at the same time.
Which when you go and have a look at it - theres no links there for burnley web. They just wanted to put the addy on for the new site and try and get away with it.
Its what they call spamming Ian.

Re: New Lancashire Website
I understand the spamming is wrong, we had this issue with hatter. Just be up front, ask the admin if you can add your website to your signature or post a link and reciprocate the gesture on your own website
I wish her the best of luck, it actually looks a nice site

Re: New Lancashire Website
It looks nice but are people going to post there when they've already got active local sites? And the areas that don't have active sites covering their towns are they going to bother anyway? I wish there was a good Morecambe one as lively as AccyWeb.

Re: New Lancashire Website
Hi Neal,
I've just been pointed in the direction of this post and had to reply to clarify things.
I (personally) have no knowledge of an incident of spamming on this or any other site. That certainly isn't my style at all. And if you were to be fair, having visited my site quite often, you would probably also, maybe only privately, acknowledge that fact.
I did think your post on my site quite strange when you advertised in it but the post remains to this day, unless you decide to modify it yourself. At least now I understand why you placed it. It would be very tempting here to link to that post (as I said, not my style) and show this site the immediate, and very warm, welcome you received from me, despite the advertising.
All I am saying guys is that I do not condone spamming in any way, shape or form. If it happened it happened, and I apologise on behalf of my website, but it was not done with my blessing.
This is a great site BTW
Suz x.
P.S. Please can a mod remove my personal details from this topic

Re: New Lancashire Website
Hi Suz, It wasn't this site where the spamming occurred, it was over on Neal's Burnley & Pendle site.
I think Kipax obtained your name from the same place I found your name and address (although I chose not to post it) - when you register a domain name your personal details, name and address where you registered, are available online for all the world to see.
