Though in this age of easy litigation, it is unbelievable that the NOTW editors didn't know the source of where the stories they printed came from.

Stories are supposedly checked by teams of lawyers. To save them money, in case they're sued.

The rot runs all the way from the reporters, to the editors, to Murdoch.

Truly amazing to watch a News International lackey tell an interviewer with a completely straight face that Rebekkah Wade was heading an enquiry into this incident which occurred when the NoW's editor was...Rebekkah Wade.

If Cameron had any guts he would order a fullscale independent enquiry into the tactics of the NoW and the whole of the tabloid press and he'd instigate the replacement of the toothless Press Complaints Commission with a body that has real powers. Not holding my breath though.

It is also understood that Currys and PC World are reviewing their options.

Milly Dowler, the Soham families....now you can add the bereaved families of the 7/7 terrorist attacks, Madelaine McCann's family.......all had their phones tapped by the News of the World. The list is getting longer and longer and sicker and sicker.

This is building into a scandal of epic proportions......
