Same goes for Socialist, Communist and Far left wing supporters also. It's surprising that a lot of people actually think the afore mentioned extremists are legitimate as well - but i suppose folk prefer Chairman Mao, Stalin and his ilk before the dreaded NG..by the the Nazi party were socialist (ask any of my German/Turkish/Polish/Soviet neighbours here in Der Fatherland (live here courtesy of the British Army)

Extremism of any kind is a threat to democracy.
Though I still think your average right-wing knuckle head is more likely to burn a book, rather than do what an extreme lefty might do...actually read it.

Why do Salman Rushdie , Satanic Verses and fatwas spring to mind?
By the way, Mr. Sewell, I watched HIGNFY the other night, who's this Grayson Perry character?

A Turner Prize winning potty potter.
A married man, and a father.
It takes all sorts.

Re: Nick Griffin and the B.B.C.
This ludicrous situation, with British tax payers giving £20 million pounds per year, to the children of Poles working here, who aren't even in the U.K., is the reason why the B.N.P. are gaining support from disillusioned, normally middle of the road voters.
Our main stream parties choose to ignore this at their peril. Which they all seem more than happy to do.
When asked on Question Time, Jack Straw refused to answer the question if his government's policies had any impact on the growing support for the B.N.P., four times!

Unfortunately Rindi that's not a new thing, when I was an apprentice I worked with a German who lived in Blackburn, he had I child here in Britain and an another living in Germany with his mother and he was claiming family allowance and child benefit for both kids even though one had never set foot in Britain

'Labour's “open door” immigration policy knowingly risked allowing dangerous people to settle in Britain unchecked, according to documents seen by The Sunday Times'
'The Whitehall correspondence, which was illegally withheld by the Home Office for four years, shows how ministers were told by the country’s most senior immigration official that his staff were to be “encouraged to take risks” when granting visas, work permits and extended residency to hundreds of thousands of new migrants.'
Home Office covered up immigration risk - Times Online
No wonder Jack Straw wouldn't take any responsibilty, and refused to anser the question, four times!
Shameful, and verging on the corrupt.

Re: Nick Griffin and the B.B.C.
and from where do these immigrants get empoyment?..from hard core traditional Constervative voters.. farmers and big manufactors.. the Tories have gone all quite on the immigration issues because they are the ones who employ immigrants and it's good business for them... don't get fooled.. the Tories know when they on a good thing and cheap labour has always been a basic economic policy.. no matter if the workers are British, Polish or from anywhere... the Tories have always been obsesed with a low wage society..always.

On no, she's a Labour Minister.
Just like the blinkered Tory supporters on here, you seem blind to anything that doesn't fit your very narrow view of the world, which apparently stops you seeing corruption, except when you look to the right.

But since we've had twelve years of successive Labour governments, who it now appears have actively encouraged an open border immigration policy, and according to the Sunday Times turned a blind eye to suitability, hence the 20 members of the Taliban, and assorted convicted criminals etc, who were allowed to enter the county, the reason they're here at all can't be blamed on the Tories.
Plus, as examplified by Baroness Scotland, who employed an illegal immigrant, not all employers are Conservative.

thats so, n agree Labour have a shameful immigration record, but in my view the main employees are the small factory geezers etc, not M.P.s

The old days, of the Tory factory owner, and his Labour supporting workers, are long over.
New Labour were, and are still, supported and funded by many major industrialists, and many of their workers could well vote Tory.
There are plenty of Tories on here, who aren't your average mill owning despots, and I'm sure there are employers who voted for New Labour. They've hardly been a tax the high earners government, as can be seen by the many billionaires who moved here in the last ten years, because of the attractive taxation.
Both main parties have come so far to the centre you'd need a fish slice to separate 'em.
This is a digression.
This government have failed miserably over immigration, and as posted earlier, most of the electorate, when polled, state it's the second major concern, coming only after job security, and is one of the main reasons support for the B.N.P. as increased.
