no jail time for these lads

It seems tha our "Justice Secretary" Jack Straw is planning to do away with jail sentences of less than twelve months, In there place he is introducing 'supervision and activity' programs. No doubt this means Skiing in the Alps and Diving in Caribbean, together of course with a supervision team

With acknowledgment to Tealeaf, this is yet another “crackpot” idea from this government.

The sooner that Labour gets ousted the better. The only problem is who will replace them? Labour Mark2?

Typical new labour! (old tory), the old labour would have re-nationalised the corporate companies, and stuck to thier guns with crime and immigration, new labour are wimps, I say again, bring back the birch, the stocks and public flogging, national service, borstal, approved schools and 'proper prisons' instead of pandering to criminals etc.
