I had some homemade mushy peas recently and they look luminous and tasted like plastic. Just thought I'd like to warn people before they decided to make mushy peas themselves.

Its just not worth it

You mustn't have made your mushy peas right. My ex mother in law makes them all the time and they're scrummy. My family had a chippy when I was a kid, and my mum made great mushy peas. Not your luminous green stuff, like the tinned variety, but proper pale green musical bottom fodder....

It wasn't me that mad em, dont blame me for the luminous, plastic-smelling peas. They didn't smell very nice either...
