Those aren't mine ya pud'n. That's a plant nursery. Mine wasn't as big as that but it was that type. There are lots of different acers. That's called goodblood or bloodygood or something. The leaves stay that dark red all year. Some are green, some change from green to reed, some are a rusty red.

Boy that really has me angry for you Willow. There has to be something for all of you guys to prevent this. I truly hope a serious solution can be found!

Nice idea but our garden isn't big enough. There'd be no room left for any plants. According to HBC we don't even have a garden!

We used to have them round our caravan 'garden' when we were on the same site every year. They do work enough to give out a bit of a glow but wouldn't call it much of a light. Enough to guide us to where the door was in the dark!

katex i have solar lights in my garden i bought them from b& m bargains (cleveley's) & have been quite happy with mine they were 4 for £7--99p

mind you my mates call my pathway the boing line .....ya know 747 landing strip ....i love um really .my mates that is he he

About This Time Of Year They Plant Lots Of Flowers In The Garden Things In Cleveleys Town Center ,then After A Few Days Theres Always A Few Empty Spaces Where Someone Has Taken A Few Plants............why...........?

I looked at where it should be and there it wasn't! Some theiving so and so had uprooted it and made off with it in the night! It was a nice one too. I'd nurtured and pruned it from a baby. I just hope nobody comes back and nicks anything else. Not long ago somebody took a plant out of next door's garden too. Somebody somewhere is probably making a very nice garden out of stuff they've nicked off of other people. I hope they get greenfly and nasty spiders.

I'm really sorry for you Willow.

Apparently thefts from gardens are on the increase, in some parts of the country it's endemic, and many are sold at car boot sales, so beware.

There are some tips on here, plus some particularly spikey plants and shrubs, which might cut the theiving scum to ribbons, if they try again.

My next door neighbour spent a lot of time planting some pretty little flowers in her garden at the front. Someone during the night came round and dug them all up. My neighbour across the road has had their hanging basket stollen.

Very sad. I have just bought some pretty daisy trees - I have put them in two massive pots and put two bricks in the bottom to try and weigh them down to put people off taking them. Suppose though - where there's a will there's a way...

Re solar lights - I have them in the back garden, they arent very bright but they do look pretty. I bought them from Mr B's (where the old Asda was) and they were 4 for about £8. I also got some floating solar pond lights which are brilliant - they were £10 each from Wilkinsons.

Sounds like a major crime wave ... now if certain people had their way and everyone was armed to the teeth the garbage truck would be hauling away dead and maimed purloiners of plants. Try having a 130lb Rottweiller roaming in your garden. Mine keeps people away from my yard and the toys in my driveway. She is also huggable, and warms up the bed in winter.

On s more serious note ... motion sensor lights work really well.

Sadly if it isn't screwed down it gets nicked - and even some of them carry screwdrivers as standard - been a victim several times - but just take solace that someone thinks that you have such wonderful taste that your stuff is worth nicking

A friend of ours had her whole garden shed nicked once!
