Nothing to do with raising the age to 21 ! would still need the experience no matter what age.

Re: Not that far from Accrington

I presume those who ask for the age limit to be raised to 21 either don't drive or didn't pass their tests until after 21, or presumably if they did they were lunatics on the road at some point ?

There is an old adage,

"You start with an empty bucket of experience and a full bucket of luck. The trick is to fill the first before the second runs out"

IMHO 21 Year old lads are just as bad if not worse than 17 year olds as they have got that cocky streak in full flow. at 17 they are usually still a bit in awe at the world.

I like that Ian.

It has nothing to do with raising the age limit, younger drivers are picked on as it is, I know this from the time I had my kids on my insurance. They both used my car regularly Neither of them, (fortunately), had accidents.
There are some people that will drive like idiots no matter what age they are and the reason is simple, it's because they are idiots.

A young driver can learn to drive alot sooner and possibly better than an older driver, perhaps more should be done to encourage them to take the advanced drivers test? Something I have always meant to do but never got around to.

Oooh look there's Less test driving his dream car! It must be fast it's a red one!
