Re: obituaries and Grandchildrens names

When I was expecting with Zack we couldn't decide on a name until the last minute. With Maddie - it's like the 'M' of mummy and the 'addy' from daddy, unfortunately we couldn't do it the other way around or it would have been considered child abuse.

With the spelling of names - I have to admit that it's very difficult. Zack for instance is short for Zachary, but we always shorten it. I don't like the spellings Zak or Zac, we did consider Zach which is literally the shortened version but ended up with the spelling Zack because of all the other words that rhyme with it - pack, jack, lack, tack, sack etc - we thought we were making it easy. The same with Maddie, we chose that spelling because that's how we'd seen it spelt when we first saw it, but it turns out that Maddy with a 'y' is far more common.

This choosing names malarkey is hard work - glad it's not going to be an issue for us again

My name is spelt wrongly for a girl, apparently I have the male spelling of it . No matter really as it's usually spelt shedloads of different ways ! There were no Kelseys around when I had my daughter back in 1995 and now there are lots. I still only know of the one Vember though ( Hi Sis !)
