Observer Observation
I am very confused by Page 6 of today's Observer.
At the very bottom of the page (small print), it states that 235 Accrington Pals died on 1st July 1916.
Higher up the page, on the right hand side it states - in large print, that 26 died on 1st July 1916.
If 235 is correct then the second figure cannot be, but perhaps I am missing the point.
If this is a typographical error or a failure to ensure that something so important to the townspeople of Accrington was accurately published, then a very substantial apology from the publishers would be required.
