I'm a sucker for biscuits, crumbs, what more can I slurp?
(though I must admit a food pro-whatsit that can bake cakes and biscuits fantastic!).

Re: Old appliance
I think she supplies you with rubber gloves for free and calls back after 2 weeks to make sure you have used them

Well that's more than I would know, yet again I'll concede to the voice of experience!
By the way I am untidy but at least it's organised, everything has a place and a place for everything, (whens blue box day?).

Re: Old appliance
My oldest "appliance" is a hand rotary-whisk that was bought as a wedding present - 45 years ago. I also still have the mixing bowl that came with it and a long-handled soft brush from the same source. They are all used regularly. I have 2 double blankets that were also wedding presents. They have lost their satin borders but are now used as matress covers in the Winter and are still in good condition. My filter coffee machine was bought when we moved here, in 1976, and it still works - when I can be bothered.
My first tumble-dryer was a little Jackson that we bought in 1967. We bought a new one 23 years later and gave the old one to my son who had it for another 6 years!

Re: Old appliance
I've been thinking about this. Yes the steam has been coming out my ears! lol Anyway the tv is about 10 yr old, the washing machine and dryer are both about 15 yr old, microwave about 8 yr old, alarm clock is roundabout 26 yrs old and still works, the strimmer about 4 months old, kettle is a baby 5 yr old. The lawnmower is 3 yr old - but the old lawnmower is about 27 yr old. My dad bought it when flymo's where 'new' and it still works. I think though there is an older lawnmower in the garage tho - a push one - no electrics and it was murder when the grass was long.
