Re: Once a Thug

The length of his sentence is a joke but the fact that he can't be deported now he has been released thanks to the Human Rights Act, is an even bigger joke.

This is the same Human Rights Act that David Cameron called "a glaring example of what is wrong with this country" in 2007 and promised to scrap if he got into power. Yet another broken promise from this facile, weak man.

Its not so much the Human Rights act Wyn its the justice system which is full of bleeding heart liberal dogooders, recruited from the provisional wing of the Guardian where the problem lies," ooh we can lock the poor lambs up for to long, we must rehabilitate them and reintroduce them to society" ya and I'm taking a course on platting fog next week

Re: Once a Thug

Must admit the whole deportation thing is probably irrelevant anyway. Was listening to a "human rights lawyer" on TV last night who said that they couldn't deport him, due to the freedom of movement rules in the EU. So, in other words, we've effectively lost control of our borders.

All very well, but it's the fat, blustering fool of a Tory justice secretary who says prison doesn't work.

To be quite honest Wyn I've always been a big fan of Ken Clark, he's always said it as it is, but I think he's way off the mark with this, there are some scumbags today who should be locked up and the key thrown away and we're not talking the odd case here
