I worked for Ray Lyndon in the early 80s he had a store which was the old Palace cinema on the corner of Peel Street, I managed the DIY store up stairs and the ground floor was made up of concessions, including a cafe, pet food, food, shoes, perfume and toiletries, handbags, jewelry and others, did very well and was always quite busy

Oh i remember ray lyndons as a kid, the cafe was right at the back if my memory serves me right ....why did it shut?

Don't know panther, Ray sold it and I finished through ill health just prior to that but that cafe was great, Ray was never eally pleased when t was his turn to buy the breakfast and I ordered a Bacon Butty
