Pamela Haworth local girl done well.

Seen in todays Daily Mail, Pamela Haworth formerly of an Accrington council estate aged 62 former Marchioness of Northampton is having problems with her present partner. She got £17 m from his lordship after divorce in 2010 and the new boyfriend is fighting her to get her out of one of his houses worth £8 m. sounds o.k. for the daughter of a toolmaker from Accrington. Anyone remember or know her, could be an interesting thread this.p.s. Daily Mail figures not mine.

Re: Pamela Haworth local girl done well.

i can see how the term " done well " could be applied to someone who acheived something of merit but going on the information in your post all im seeing is a woman who got lucky in a divorce and seems to be a bit of a pain in the arse for her more recent fella, both of which seem to have plenty of money

Women don't marry for money; they divorce for it.

Me too - I had earned more than him in the 8 years, and he had spent my savings.
Mine was a 'riches to rags' story. He demanded 'half' of the household goods which were the only things left.

I'm still in rags, we must have been soft touches (mugs) Margaret. Still, the peace I've had all these years later has been worth it.

All these years later makes you sound like an OAP, you're still a young un.

The only "things" I took from my first marriage was the kids didn't want anything
that way he got no rights.
Second Hubby is a better Dad to them and they think of him as that

Same here, but then, we all get what we deserve.

Mine has married a scouser, I bet she has to Count her gold fillings (that I paid for) whenever they kiss.

(Apologies to DIG, I know scouser's aren't all bad, my parents hailed from the land of the free (if it ain't nailed down)).
