An investment banker was handed a £41,000 booze bill after ordering more than 70 bottles of premium champagne and spraying them round a club.The flash financier spent more than £26,000 on bubbly at an exclusive London club and was then told to pay the £15,000 cost of clearing up after his antics.The Monaco-based banker ordered 49 normal bottles and six magnums of Cristal champagne as well as 13 bottles and two magnums of Dom Perignon for his private party.

And seemingly not overawed by his sizeable tab, he even paid the optional 12.5% service charge of almost £3,000.

I prefer Strongbow myself, I always think that Champagne smells a bit farty.......

Can't stand the stuff, to fizzy. But if someone else is paying i'll let it go flat then have a couple of bottles.

I love Champagne and always have a bottle of Bolly in the fridge, though dont drink it often its a real treat!

i got some champagne bought me for my 60th birthday......... (i always said i hate the stuff)......... but the one i got was really nice , so im now a champagne lover, had a couple of bottles since.

could never stand the stuff when i could drink,and boy i could drink once of a day,but freebies are something else.lol

Clever man! He will more than recoup his losses with future business! I know a very frugal but smart business man that hired a French restaurant on a Sat night for a company party. He invited potential investors and between them, completely wrecked the place so that it had to close for over a week to redecorate. The cost was enormous............but his financial future was assured through new investment.
