Passport fees - Identity and Passport Service

By the way if you were born before 2 September 1929 you can get your passport free!!! Now how many do you think they will be issuing of them every year?

Re: Passport Panic!

I am forever losing my purse when out shopping. At least I panic that I have lost it. Busman is quite used to this by now and usually sighs with a "here we go again" sort of sigh. It's usually somewhere down the bottom of my bag but being black I can't see it in the darkness. I think I need to buy a brighter purse.

Re: Passport Panic!

If you could see my passport photo you would probably agree I should have left it "lost" and got a replacement.

I had to get it done in a hurry, last year, and used a booth in Morrisons. The first lot came out with my head looking lop-sided and 1 eye considerably larger than the other so I had another go. This time my head was more or less the right shape but appeared to have no top to it - I have grey hair and the picture was over exposed. Apart from my looking a bit poorly this was the better option so I sent it off with my form. When my passport arrived the photo looked even more over-exposed and I seem to have a livid purple shadow round my neck as though someone has tried to strangle me. I hadn't noticed when I sent it off but I have a sneering expression on my face and I look at least 85 years old and very tired of life.

The bummer is, no immigration official has ever looked twice to make sure it's really me.

By the way i have travelled to France on the ferry and back again without a passport. I'd forgotten it - only found out when we were just about to get on the ferry so no going back for it. Got away with it but after that i was asked for my passport 2 days before so as to make sure i had it!!! I did have a driving licence with me with a photo on it so i wasnt totally without id.

Yes, well let me tell you the passport might be free, but the travel insurance will be exorbitant...if you can find anyone to insure you that is!
