he did he said he was in favour of a referendum and then voted against it when the ooportunity arose

as for the pasty tax it should never have been considered in the first place and to me stinks of been merely a distraction that they never intended to follow through with because they knew it woudl cause a fuss.As distractions go this one worked well because it took the heat off them doing sod all about murdoch for a start

Hang on a minute Blairio and Co had ample opportunity to sort the dirty digger out but he was far too valuable an asset at the time

oh yes they could have sorted it out long ago also but the government has only now been forced into action because murdochs lot got busted for hacking a dead missing girls mobile phone and inverstigations have led to corrupt polititions. Both partys have been guilty of dealing with murdoch but the ones actually in power are sweating the most and i find it astonishing that cameron is still defending James Hunt who repeatedly keeps getting caught out telling lies about his relationship with murdochs lot.

Mind you lets not worry about crooked polititions and how they will walk away scott free theres a much bigger scandle to fill the press front pages and thats %20 tax on a pasty.Funny though how polititions were flooding infront of teh camera not to talk about their crooked backhand deals with news corp but to declare they ate pastys a fact that cameron couldnt even lie about properly because the place where he said he ate one only a few weeks earlier shut down 3 or 4 years previously lol.

i wonder what it will take to make them u-turn on increased pricing of booze?

if labour were currently in power they would also be lying their backsides off trying to save themselves and creating distractions so we would look the other way also it just so happens this band of crooks chose pasty tax.Milliband dosnt look too bright he would have probably taxed brussel sprouts or something as less effective lol

Knocked on the head.. this mob have introduced silly taxes and policies that they must have known would hit the small press headlines and then they U turn..but there's been no U turn on the highest earners gaining a 5% tax cut.. no U turn on cutting tax credits for working families..no U turn on creating an extra 500,000 unemployed in public services.
What will be the next U turn?.. the 3% hike in fuel tax due? or maybe the proposed ending of bus passes for pensioners and the end of winter fuel payments?.. all these "proposals" were denied in this governments manifesto only two years ago!
