Pay phones

Has some of you know i live in rishton , and today i needed to make a phone call so went to the first phone box outside the rubuck the display said not comersioned so then up to the box on station rd that phone did not wark so up to the train station well that one "yes you got it" that one did not work
so 3 pay phones in rishton and not one works
and b4 any one says get a phone i do but the call was for a 0800 number

There is a payphone on Cliffe Street in Rishton or maybe ask a friend to let you use their landline, can't see why not if it is freephone

will check it out today but my point is what if some one needs to make a 999 call yes lots of peaple of mobile phones but not every one

See what you mean but surely again you know a neighbour/friend who would let you use their landline or even a passer by would ring 999 on their mobile, it is free to them so can't see it being a problem

To be fair to BT, the phone boxes at the top and bottom of Dill Hall Lane, where I spend some of my time, are always being vandelised. That and the fact that most people have mobile phones these days means it is not worth spending money on a Payphone that no one uses. Sad really.

Your right , i live not so far off from the top one of Dill Hall Lane and everytime i pass it the glass is either broke or the door has been taken and the phones dangling on the floor!
