Paypal again.......
I received a rather alarming e mail yesterday. It informed me that payment had been received from my paypal account to the tune of US $1950.00 for a product purchased from what I can only describe as a left handed website which I had never heard of until yesterday.
Now this product, which shall remain anonymous came in an extra large size and my only other clue is that it can't mow the lawn, get a round of drinks in or do your housework. Does anyone know what it is yet?
Needless to say that I was quite perturbed at having the above amount taken from my account so I have contacted the bank and my credit card company. They have assured me that nothing has been taken from my accounts and I did give them a laugh at the bank when I explained what it was.
Even if this product was encased in gold and delivered to the UK by supersonic jet it would not cost that much. Honestly I had visions of the postman putting his back out trying to ram this thing through my letterbox.
I have put this down to yet another Paypal scam. Has anyone else supposedly bought anything which has prompted a similar e mail, or is it just me??????

I haven't heard anything yet, and I have a Paypal account.
I'll keep an eye out for it though

Re: Paypal again.......
Imagine the lecky bill to plumb that nefarious object into the mains, Lettie.
The neighbours would be banging on your bedroom wall, wondering what all the noise was about... and when they found out, they would be forming an orderly queue at your front door to borrow it.

Re: Paypal again.......
I am sure that the local branch of Ann Summers could provide something fitting this description for around £30 {depending on the model obviously!** Don't think they run on mains though Sparks;strictly batteries only.

Re: Paypal again.......
I have to say though that that is the best written phishing email I have ever seen!
But then, that in itself is worrying, too...
People might see them as being the real thing, where in the past they were so badly written you could see through it immediately.
But still, the basic rule applies - never ever click on a link to 'confirm' personal/sensitive data
