PC gone mad again
Any one seen the latest PC nonsence? Lib/dem controlled York council are not picking up bins which are frozen, H & S say that the bin men will get frozen hads if the bins are to cold, Ah didums, where is it all going to end

Exactly Mel,they wear gloves,they dont pick them up they are on wheels and the handles aren't metal anymore but plastic so they don't hold the temperature the same anymore.So where is the problem.

when i left school i was a apprentice butcher at a large meat factory most of the meat e.g. hinds,fours,etc was brought from out of the big freezers and were frozen solid, so perhaps york council will also save the butchers from getting cold hands!!! cos frozen bins occasionally aint in the same league, i NEVER heard so much CRAP in all my life. but i,m CERTAIN i shall hear much more from the PC dumbells.

That wasn't how I heard the story. I'll have to have a proper look into it but it was something to do with stuff being stuck down in the bottom of the bin with people shoving it in and compacting it too tight.
