Re: People Born in the 1940's
MoreJoe, I’m a bit disappointed that your thread hasn’t evoked memories from other 1940’s children. I always find it interesting to read of what people remember. I go back further than you, to those born in the 1930’s, and believe you me we knew how to enjoy ourselves also. Dancing to good music, Big Bands, and the like - not just on Saturdays though. It was any day there was a dance on. Ballroom, Be-Bop, Rock and Roll, any and every sort. Didn’t matter if we had to travel miles to get to it.
Not sure about fast cars, don’t think there were many of them around, but although I am that old according to my birth certificate, I do still try to keep on rocking and rolling, well maybe not so much in a physical sense these days, but any which way I can.
