Pet Insurance

Thinking of getting an insurance out for vet fees for Benji,
With todays prices at vets is it worth doing?
Have you got one?
What company if any do you recommend?

Re: Pet Insurance

only thing i would say ksh,is take benjis age into consideration, how long lifespan that breed has, price the insurance then divide it by the years. our dog costs on average £60/£70 per year vets fees, on that basis we came to the conclusion, stuff the insurance. p.s. im assuming benjis a dog.lol

Re: Pet Insurance

i was once charged £10 for putting my ex's hamster to sleep , i wouldnt mind but they did it while i was away down town shopping while they looked at it

they even had the nerve to look at me in disgust when i told them that i coulda stamped on it and bought another for £3

there is one pet insurer that advertises on the tv that wont refuse to reinsure yuor pet if you claim , many other companies pay out then dont let you renew your policy

Re: Pet Insurance

I would defenatly reccomend Pet Insurance if you have a dog.

Not only does it cover the pet it self but would cover other cost should your pet, cause damage to another partys person or property. (Public Liability)

Example, dog comes of lead, runs into road, causes car accident, cost of accident is £10.000, whos footing the bill??? YOU ARE.

It is also good for the medical side also. I had to have one of my dog operated on as an emergancy (parvo endimetres or something) £300+ Bill only cost me my Excess £65.00.

Cost can be cheep, dependant on how much cover you want. I persoanlly would not be with out it for my 2 dogs and I pay over £25.00 a month for both.

Check this link, its who I am with but I believe Pet Plan are better, but more expensive.
