Re: Pet Rat
cat crap can cause blindness in children so please explain to me why a cat should be allowed to roam freely crapping in gardens with the potential to blind children
its all well saying my cat dosnt crap on other peoples property but unless you are with it when it is out of the house at all times you cant even be sure yourselves so why expect us to believe you
so its cruel to keep a cat indoors denying its freedom to roam but i dont see people letting their parrots out for a quick fly to crap over peoples cars etc
was it gayle knight who promised to do somthing about dog dirt if elected because cat dirt is the bigger problem and i think a lot more people are sick and fed up of cats than they are dogs crapping all over the place
edit:
dog owners who let their dogs crap in parks and pavements without cleaning up after their mutt shoudl also be given a swift boot up the ass too
just so as not to show favouratism

nah its good to bitch and moan evey now and then
besides letting steam off here about cats lessens the chance of me taking the time to put tins of tuna out with rat poison mixed in with it

Grumpy yes, pointless no! I wish I could be as happy as Mr. Meldrew.
Now there's a man that would know how to solve the problem!

Re: Pet Rat
Good job my cat loving daughter hasnt seen this thread because if she did she would want to start beating people up. She has two of her own that stay at her mothers and in the past I have kept rats (domestic uns with 4 legs) something else she likes.

Re: Pet Rat
Irresponsible cat owners, irresponsible dog owners, irresponsible parents, everybody can point the finger in one direction or another - and frequently does.
Bl**dy birds, especially urban gulls, that's another problem, crapping down my washing and my car and spreading diseases like bird-flu. Who owns the b****rs and what are they doing about it? How about those blasted mice that get into the odd house and run amok with their faeces incontinence all over your kitchen?
Thank God for Tiddles and his mates or you'd be knee deep in guano and mouse droppings.
Seconds out! Round two!

Like feline leukemia, feline Panleukopenia, feline infectious peritonitis, and feline respiratory disease?
My only regret is they can't be trained to take home the little gifts they leave for everyone else.

Re: Pet Rat
Cat crap what a load of rubbish!!! its the dog dirt you should be worried about! see i can say that because i have a cat he wont go out of my gaden when on the very rare occasion he decides to go out he has a tray and likes to use it he will come in from the garden to use it and i do know he wont roam into other gardens because he's 21 years old and it takes him about a week to get onto the window sill hes to old to get over the fence.
When was the last time you had a sand box Less? and didnt you know that if you spend a little more money you can get one with a lid on to protect your sand from cats and the weather you can then play nicely in your little pit Less. just watch out for the ants less they might crawl up your shorts leg and whooo we wouldnt want to go there now would we!!!!!
I dont think that dog poo is very nice to try and detach from your kids shoes even worse if they are on their way to school (then what) i dont care what poo contains poo is poo and nobody likes to touch, smell, or even think about it but Less at the end of the day SH*T happens get over it!! lol

Re: Pet Rat
I take it you dont like cats, but what a one sided opinion, you don't even mention or think about how much vermin cats kill.
Yet if you do buy a rat and let it out I don't think it would come home.

Perhaps a licence would be a good idea, do dog owners still need them? I wouldn't object to a licence but I don't think it would make a huge amount of difference, it would just mean that the irresponsible owners would continue to be irresponsible and that someone somewhere would have to enforce it - which they wouldn't.
It's not changing subject to talk about horse manure. I live on a road that doesn't have a pavement and every week I am faced with the dratted stuff in the road. If the horse owner could nicely guide his pet over my rhubarb I perhaps wouldn't object so much!

Could you in future read the complete thread before posting!
If you had done you would find that I have already answered the question as to if I like cats or not.
Of course it is a one sided opinion you dummy,
I am giving the opinion of the person that doesn't like cat sh*t,
Contrary-wise you are giving a one sided opinion from the cat lovers side!
If we both shared the same opinion that would still be one sided but we would be agreeing.
Now my head hurts, come back Accymad at least you had something worth answering!

Re: Pet Rat
Less, I sympathise with your predicament. If your neighbours aren't looking after their cats properly they need telling.
I love cats (and dogs and all animals - even feral rats as long as they don't move in with me) and there are lots of cats round here, including mine, but we have no cat-poo problems because the cats are well cared for. Mine has a "loo" in the kitchen but prefers to use the soil under my shrubs and none of the neighbourhood cats causes a problem.
Don't blame the cats, blame the owners, and at least be thankful that cats will bury the poo when they can. It's far less dangerous than fresh, exposed dog sh*te.
Now then - those b****y birds.......
