Yes, that's looks fine too Mani .. getting a picture of you now, and sure your family will be happier you staying somewhere like this than a clinical Travelodge .. which are great for one night stays.. but they will want to know that you are with proprietors that will say "Hi, have you had a good day ? " when you come back in the evening.

Go for it .. take a chance ... can always move out if it is crap ...

Stayed in travelodges a couple of times and can honestly say ive never had a problem and have arrived quite late at night.
I would be surprised if you had any problems.

Are you going for training with the company you work for? If so, they should have sorted out your accomodation, they should be paying for it and it should be in a decent hotel, not a Travel Lodge. Who do you work for, Gordon Brown?

Just ring them up and explain you are going to be late. I'm sure it won't be a problem as long as they are aware of your circumstances. I wouldn't worry too much. I don't think I've been to a Travel Lodge that has been fully booked Lol

I am staying in a travel lodge in a few weeks for a training course with work.
If they are booked up when I arrive, which will be late evening, I will turn around, do the 200+ miles home and will not be attending the course.

I would book into the dearest hotel I could find nearby,
and contact my employer the following morning.
If they won't pay the extra cost -THEN come home

What makes you think I want to spend time away from home in the first place

I would not mind if they put us in a decent hotel with something to do like a pool etc. I will be bored stupid at night. I wont be out drinking all night with the rest of them. Been there, done that, learned nothing on the course
