i have never suggested site should change, i believe i have posted this point before
and you are probably right, about been happier, i am not on here "to moan",
i came on here to share some pictures, thats all, but once you see something you disagree with, should you just ignore that, just turn a blind eye, in a democracy, its your right to have your say, have your opinion heard is it not?
however i fear whatever i say, will just be seen as contradictory, because i dont share the same views, and then lampooned because they are different, or accused of being a know it all.
it does come across that unless your views are the same, dont post!
surely you dont condone that, for what is debate without 2 or more opinions, or am i wrong, and this site isnt for debate?
if a post was in anything goes, fair enough, but newbies are advised to go and read the rules, and they do and follow them, make a post in genaeral chat, and it just degrades into a slanging match or tedious jokey comment.
why cant those threads be contained to the place that is designated, thats not trying to change it, is it?

And to think all this started a week ago over a knob. Beats the war of Jenkin's Ear into a cocked hat (if you don't mind the metaphor).
Wonder if it will go on as long?
The War of Jenkins' Ear was a conflict between Great Britain and Spain that lasted from 1739 to 1748, with major operations largely ended by 1742. Its unusual name, coined by Thomas Carlyle in 1858, refers to an ear severed from Robert Jenkins, captain of a British merchant ship. The severed ear was subsequently exhibited before Parliament. The tale of the ear's separation from Jenkins, following the boarding of his vessel by Spanish coast guards in 1731, provided the impetus to war against the Spanish Empire.

I think your's and another's view seems to be 'I can put forward my view without reading what went on before, I won't read their stuff why should I? They should pay attention to anything I say however'.
As for being a know it all as your posts have proved, that is something I would never accuse you of.

I believe, (though am willing to be shot down because I'm working from memory), that Jenkins was a liar and it was later rumored that his ear was removed when he was a pirate, but our Government had been looking for an excuse to go to war, so they did, (nothing new there then).

No, it isn't all about me, I can hardly get a word in because it's all about you (according to you).

Poke it? I'd have put it on a spit and be serving it at a wood roast barbie by now, if it was a dog worth having.
