Police activity on Within Grove
Usually when I walk mac in the morning it's nice and quiet, not this morning tho............3 police vans and a police car outside a house on Within Grove, 2 police women came out as I was passing and one had an enormous machete with her, she even offered to give me a haircut which I thought was very considerate of her, I sadly had to decline as mac wanted his walk lol

says somthing about the area when the police are turning up with machetes lol
havnt been to huncoat sands for a while is most of teh estate still boarded up or did they manage to sell off teh properties ?

Many years I used to go there several times a week when I worked for the SS.
I recall getting tyre punctures every few weeks - the amount of broken glass about was phenomenal - you couldn't avoid it. I have just had a wander around it on Google maps street view. A large chunk of the estate near the railway line is now demolished, and there are plenty of boarded up houses. The ones occupied have the look of being owner/occupied. Poor folk - Maggie didn't do them any favours when they got the right to buy.
